Ten Swedish Designers

September 11, 2007 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Art & Design

Formed in 1970, Ten Swedish Designers was started by ten young textile artists and designers who were told by the textile industry that their designs were “unsaleable”. So they banded together and started creating their own collections, and in essence, gaining control of how they did business. Since then, they’ve created over 30 succesful collections and around 600 printed fabrics and wallpapers.

Not only that, but they also have an amazing little store that sells not only fabrics, but bags, bibs, napkins and my favorite, the plates above. I would love to have a crazy mis-matching set of one each of those plates. I love how bold and graphic they are. My favorites by far are the rabbit, the squirrel, and the brick wall. Way too awesome.
