Lars and the Real Girl

August 19, 2007 - By Bobby Solomon - Category: Films

I was browsing through Apple Trailers earlier today and came across this little gem of a trailer. Lars and the Real Girl is a film about Lars Lindstrom, a guy who’s been sort of a loner all his whole life, who finally meets a girl he likes over the internet, named Bianca.
But there’s one catch… Bianca is a life sized doll that Lars believes is real. In fact he thinks she’s a missionary who’s had nurses traiing. So Lars’ family and friends, in fact the entire town, go along with his delusion in order to help him.
Ryan Gosling, who I think made that crap movie The Notebook, seems entirely believable, and the script seems hilarious, written by Nancy Oliver, who used to write for Six Feet Under. The movie comes out on October 19th.

If you've got something to say, keep it positive.
  1. My friend show me this the other day, thinking it will be great. I actually got freaked out because it end up being a serious drama, instead of a hilarious comedy, which plot can easily be convert to.
