Porsche opened their design studio in 1972, and since have been designing all sorts of fancy things like sunglasses and watches and the such. Now Porsche has stepped into the mobile phone market with their new P’9521, an aluminum clad flip-phone.
I think it’s pretty rad looking, it’s at least a step away from the cell phone masses, although it looks like it popped out of the Matrix movies. The phone features a fingerprint reader, you know, to keep your oh-so-secret phone numbers out of the hands of spys, a 3.2 megapixel camera with a flash and zoom, and a digital music player.
The P’9521 goes on sale this autumn, and I’ve read that the price is somewhere between $1000-$1200… yet again, the iPhone is not that expensive.
