Kid Nation

I need to get cable in my apartment, purely to watch this show. Damn you CBS.
Kid Nation is about 40 kids from the ages of 8 to 15, are taken to an old ghost town in the middle of New Mexico, and forced to work and live in a community for 40 days. No one is kicked off each episode. Instead, one kid per episode is awarded a solid gold star, worth approximately $20,000.

Why the hell wasn’t this around when I was kid?? I would totally rule that place with an iron fist. It would be like The Quick and the Dead, and I would totally be bad-ass Gene Hackman.
At any rate, it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun to watch. And with 40 kids, everyone is going to be able to relate to this show. Not to mention the potential future of a project like this, and all the other places you can throw kids to survive on their own… this is gonna be big.
