Photos from the ‘I Am 8-Bit’ Show

'I Am 8-Bit' Show

Graham and I went to the ‘I Am 8-Bit’ show and it ended up being really great. When we arrived there was already a line of people waiting outside to get in. When we finally got in (about 45 minutes later) it ended up being very crowded and stuffy. But personal space issues aside, the work as amazing. A huge variety of different kinds of work. I highly recommend the show if you’re in the area!

The line to get into the gallery.

This one was Graham’s favorite

YAY for Martin Cendreda, one of the guys I really wanted to see there. This piece was titled, “The Hunters Become The Hunted”.

This was another really fun one. It was made to look like an old Golden Book.

The mob.

Jesse Ledoux, probably best known for the cover of The Shins album, Chutes Too Narrow, has definitely gotten a lot better at his illustration skills. A really fun Dig-Dug piece.

This is Jim Mahfood, another one of my favorites. He drew me an awesome Bizarro Superman sketch about 5 years back. Really nice guy.

Michael Jackson should own this.Bobby

  2. the Mario in front of KONG signage is sweet, as is the Martin Cendreda above it. I’ll have to check this show out…
